Burner grates may become discolored with normal use.
Burner grates are made of cast iron with a matte black porcelain coated finish. Refer
Rust can be removed using fine grade steel wool and by cleaning with a no-scratch Scotch-Brite™ pad and a mild abrasive cleaner.
Wolf does not suggest painting burner grates if the finish is worn, faded, or chipped. A new grate is needed.

Decorative components, nozzles, and burner base caps will need to be hand-washed in warm water and detergent. Do not place these components in the dishwasher and ensure that all parts are completely dry and clear before reinstalling.
To ensure that the burner grates are clean, clean using mild detergents and hot water. Avoid using abrasive cleaners as this could scratch and permanently damage your burner grate. Ensure that your burner grate is dry before reinstalling.
The spark igniter should be cleaned, but do so with extreme caution. When cleaning this component, use a cloth to clean around it. Make sure that the cloth does not touch the igniter as this could damage it. Under no circumstances should you use sprays to clean spark igniters.
